PowerGuard Security Announces Partnership with EMC Security

Habersham EMC’s PowerGuard Security division recently announced a new partnership with EMC Security.

EMC Security is a local service provided by neighboring electric cooperatives, Jackson EMC, Walton EMC and GreyStone Power.  The company was founded in 1998 and serves more than 51,000 homes and businesses through north Georgia.

“We feel confident that EMC Security will provide an excellent level of service and support.  In fact, people will have an opportunity for more choices of advanced technology,” said Brad Hicks, HEMC CEO.

This partnership will provide customers with several additional resources such as 24-hour technical support, access to home automation products and services, enterprise level commercial and industrial security products, and three redundant monitoring centers.

According to Hicks, HEMC strives to keep rates as low as possible and operate in the best interest of all members. In support of this initiative, HEMC is taking steps to provide programs and services that promote value to all members without subsidies.

PowerGuard customers received notices about the transition to EMC Security, scheduled to begin in the first quarter of the year.  EMC Security will notify each customer as the transition is made.

Customers can contact Habersham EMC if they have any questions.
